Grinch in July

Things you will need:
Pink KK long loom
Spool loom
Loom hook

3 strands of  Simply Soft Caron yarn in the color harvest red,

3 strands of Simply Soft Caron yarn in the color limelight green,

2 strands of white fun fur mixed with 2 strands of Loops & Threads Soft & Shiny in the color white,

And yarn for details 2 strands of Loops & Threads Soft & Shiny in the colors black and yellow
Crochet hooks
6 Buttons
Sewing needles
Floss thread for sewing
Techniques you will need to know:
How to work a figure 8 in a rake fashion.
How to increase and decrease.
How to change color.
How to make an icord
how to make an Eye on the loom

Pattern:

Grinch jacket part & fuzzy collar part

Casting on the 16 pegs

Step 1: Starting on pegs 5 Figure 8 cast on 16 in a rake fashion (8 pegs on each side in the middle if the loom) with the color red, knit 6 rows

Step 2: Cut change yarn color to the fun fur & white.

Step 3: knit 4 rows,

Grinch's first face part
Step 4: Cut change yarn color to the green.

Step 5: Increase 4 rows, by 1 on each side, there should be 24 pegs cover in yarn (12 pegs on each side)
Step 6: knit 4 rows,

Step 7: decrease 4 rows by 1 on each side. You should have 16 pegs covered in yarn again(8 on each side)

Step 8: knit 8 rows,

fuzzy hat parts and middle part
Step 9: Cut change yarn colors to the fun fur & white.
Step 10: knit 4 rows,

Step 11: Cut change yarn colors to the red

Step 12: knit 140 rows
Step 13: Cut change yarn colors to the fun fur & white.
Step 14: knit 4 rows,

Grinch's second face part
Step 15: Cut change yarn color to the green.
Step 16: knit 8 rows,
Step 17: Increase 4 rows, by 1 on each side, there should be 24 pegs cover in yarn (12 pegs on each side)
Step 18: knit 4 rows,
Step 19: decrease 4 rows by 1 on each side You should have 16 pegs covered in yarn again(8 on each side)

Fuzzy collar part & Grinch jacket part
Step 20: Cut change yarn color to the fun fur & white.

Step 21: knit 4 rows,

Step 22: Cut change yarn colors to the red

Step 23: knit 6 rows

Step 24: bind of by using the crochet method.


Details

Step 25: If you didn't already crochet starting first row loops, for the mouth make two 5 to 6 inch icords using 2 pegs. for eyes I used Simply Intertwined's video on how to make Eyes. Sew everything on the Grinch faces and you done.

My first two Grinch scarves from December 2013
I called them the Good Grinch (on the left) Vs. the Bad Grinch(on the right).

They where done with 2 Strands of  Red Heart Super Saver yarns. Besides the white parts there in 2 strands of fun fur & 2 strands of white. 
They also are a little shorter in the pattern above. 
Because I added 2 rows in the beginning & ending parts and also added 20 rows in the middle to make the scarf longer.
